  • $7 Footlongs: Good Value All Round?

    1 April, 2009

Unveiled recently was the $7 footlong menu featuring some of the "lesser" Subs such as:

    • Ham - yawn. Reasonable value for a simple Sub.
    • Pizza sub - suddenly great value at $7, besting the SubWhy's old favourite, the old Italian BMT Sub split.
    • Meatball - soggy sandwich anyone? I'm still very curious about what low percentage of this stuff is real, actual meat?
    • Seafood Sensation - the only thing sensational about this is the name? Seafood Slop could be more fitting... then again perhaps I just don't like seafood!
    • Tuna - See my above comments about seafood :p
    • ...and the joke/slap in the face for vegetarians everywhere that is the Veggie Delite - this "salads only" Sub should really be $6 at most in my opinion!

At $7 you are getting your Sub goodness at the low, tasty price of $3.50 per 6 inches! That's good value in anyone's book - despite any negative comments above - especially if you are splitting with a mate over a relaxing lunch with Chai Tea Chillers.

Pizza Sub (highlighted above) certainly seems to stand out as the pick of the bunch to me. Mileage may vary, enjoy!

  • Meatball Sub becomes more Meaty

    8 October, 2008

As far as value goes, at least. Who really knows how much meat is in a Meatball Sub's Meatballs...

Meatball Subs are now amazing value at the current special price at $3.95! Wow. That's split value territory.

  • New mozzarella cheese makes Italian Herbs & Cheese more tasty!

    8 October, 2008

Some news from the inside today - the new mozzarella cheese available is being sprinkled fresh ontop of the Italian Herbs & Cheese breads with much joy! Making the Italian Herbs & Cheese bread even more of a prime value choice when hitting up your local Sub factory.

Mitch Tip #18:

While you may have heard the saying "Good things come in small packages", this surely doesn't apply to sub sandwiches. When given the option of a 6 inch or a footlong, paying the extra few dollars for the footlong is a decision you won't likely regret.

Even if I have no intention of eating 12 inchs of Sub goodness, I always order a footlong. In my experience, any uneaten sub inches can be frozen for up to 3 years for consumption at a later date. View more of Mitch's tips.
